Artknit Studios was founded in 2018 with a clear purpose: to inspire and educate its community toward conscious consumption. From day one, it has supported Italian micro-manufacturing companies and collaborated with them to create high-quality products that are completely natural and biodegradable.
Thanks to a short and transparent supply chain, it is able to combine Italian craftsmanship with the finest raw materials while keeping prices lower than traditional luxury brands.

We're based in Biella, northern Italy, in the heart of the Italian wool valley where many of the most renowned spinning mills in the world have their roots.

Orders & Payments
Yes, artknit-studios.com is a safe website. Our digital payment methods are traced and secure.
Your personal data will be treated in agreement with current legislation on privacy.
We accept debit/credit cards, ApplePay, ShopPay, GooglePay and PayPal.
You can also pay by installments with Scalapay directly from our website. You can quickly create an account while checking out and pay your item in three monthly installments without interest.
You can redeem your coupon by writing the code in the provided box during checkout.
For your welcome coupon code, you can only use it for your first order with the purchase of any item.

Yes, our gift cards are available in different amounts (from 50€ to 500€) and can be used in multiple tranches until the credit is exhausted.
After the purchase, you will receive an email with a coupon code valid for one year.
You can change the currency by selecting it on the footer of any page of our website.
We ship worldwide, but keep in mind that the final price might change according to where you want to receive your item.
If you are in the EU or in the UK, VAT will be automatically calculated at checkout.
If you want to receive your item elsewhere, you'll receive an invoice to pay VAT and customs duties after receiving the package.

The import will be automatically deducted from the gift card's credit until it's exhausted.
You unfortunately cannot pay by bank transfer or cash on delivery, but we accept many others digital and secure payment methods: debit/credit card, ApplePay, ShopPay, GooglePay and PayPal.

If your order has already been processed, unfortunately, you will have to return it after the delivery by filling out this form.
Shipping
Yes, we ship worldwide with the exception of those countries with government trade restrictions or sanctions.

Shipping times and costs can vary according to the item you are purchasing, where you want to have it shipped and the shipping method you select.
If you are in Europe, shipping is free for orders over 250€.
Ready to Ship items usually take 2 to 4 business days to be delivered, while Made to Order items can take up to 14 days since they're crafted after placing the order.

Yes, as soon as your package leaves our warehouse, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with the parcel's tracking number that allows you to follow the shipment.
Please note that the courier takes up to 1-2 business days to register your shipment status.

Our packaging is completely plastic-free: you'll receive your item in a recycled cardboard box wrapped in a biodegradable envelope.
Yes, of course, we have a special gift box to make your loved ones happy.
It costs 5.90€ and you can select it on your cart page.

After two unsuccessful delivery attempts, your package will be available at a pick-up point.

Returns & refunds
Yes, you can return an item within 14 days after you receive it by filling out this form.
You'll then receive a confirmation email with the instructions to proceed, and if you are in UE the first return is free.
We accept returns on any item as long as it's in the same condition you received it: with the label attached and in the original package. The only pieces you cannot return are made-to-measure pieces from our Milan and Rome stores or accessories with custom embroidery.

If your item complies to our return policy, you'll receive an email as soon as we receive the parcel and it will take up to 7 days to get refunded on your original payment method.

Yes, you can return and exchange the pieces you’ve ordered online or purchased in-store if they meet our return policy standards. If the piece is not available in-store, we can send it directly to your home. Please read the full Return Policy and the Refund Policy for more information.

We said no to synthetic fibers. We use certified natural fibers like wool, cotton and linen that are traced, cruelty-free and have a lower impact.
Buying knitwear made of natural materials is better for you and for the environment because it's long-lasting and, at the end of its lifecycle, it's 100% recyclable.

Each item has its story. You can discover it by reading the transparency report on every product page, that traces the item's journey from raw materials, up to its packaging.
Every one of our pieces is made by Italian expert makers and inside the box you'll find the name of the person that made your item and the city of its workshop.

Made to order items are available on request. You can provide your height, weight and age to get a perfect fit.
This allows us to minimize waste and to produce only the quantities needed. Please note that made to order items take up to 14 business days to be delivered.

Ready to Ship items are already available in our warehouse, so they will only take 2 to 4 days on average to be delivered.
No, we decided not to participate in seasonal sales because we keep fair prices all year long.
By avoiding all intermediaries, at Artknit we’re able to offer accessible prices for superior-quality products, while guaranteeing our makers fair working conditions.
We design pieces that don’t follow trends and are made to last for many years, so no urge to push them out before the season is over.

Our supply chain is transparent, traced and ethical: we get our makers to sign a Code of Conduct to guarantee fair working conditions.

Our animal-based materials like wool and cashmere are certified. We use mulesing free wool and our cashmere comes from farmers who comply with high ethical standards.

We try not to produce more than necessary, so that the planet can thank us.

Our supply chain is short and without intermediaries, that's why we can offer you high-quality knitwear with prices that are up to 8 times lower than traditional brands.
Care and repair
We want our pieces to last as long as possible, which is why we encourage you to take the best care of them.
Read our care guide to discover our recommended care products and tips on washing, ironing, and storing your items to extend their lifespan.
For knitwear, we recommend turning the piece inside out and hand washing it for 10 minutes at a maximum of 40°C.
Use a specific detergent for wool and cashmere or a mild detergent (pH 8+) for other materials.
Washing instructions for fabric items vary by product.

To prevent damage and shape loss, none of our pieces should be tumble-dried.
Yes, we introduced The Repair Program to extend the lifecycle of your pieces, a repairing and reconditioning service offered by our expert makers.
If the issue is small and you feel confident enough, you can also repair it yourself with the help of our repair kit and our easy video tutorials.

The Do-It-Yourself Repair Kit is a small box that we’ll be delivered to your home with everything you need to fix the minor issues that your Artknit piece may encounter.

CLEAN & CARE
Bring us the Artknit pieces you want to wash, repair or recondition to our Milan, Via Metastasio 1 store. Together we will assess the type of problem and suggest the most suitable service. Once they are ready, we will let you know and you can come and pick them up.
We offer washing, repair of pulled threads, holes or small seams, linking, reconditioning with pilling removal and mothproofing treatment.
The cost ranges from 9€ for washing or repairing a pulled thread up to 35€ for washing, repairing and full reconditioning of the piece. Visit this page to find out all services and detailed prices.
Both repairs and washing will take 10 to 14 days.
We require payment in advance for this service.
We will notify you as soon as the items are ready, via the email or WhatsApp you provided when you made your reservation.
All pieces must be picked up in our Milan store within 10 days of receiving the email or WhatsApp notification.
The Imperfect Selection
The Imperfect Selection is a limited selection - available online only - of our reconditioned, archive and sample pieces at a more accessible price.
To reduce even more our environmental impact, we decided to make available versions that are no longer online, pieces that may have some manufacturing defects or be slightly worn, but that are still fully functional and ready to be worn.
This selection will be constantly updated in order to give our pieces the long life they deserve.
The Imperfect selection is available exclusively online, at artknit-studios.com and you cannot purchase Imperfect pieces in our physical stores.
Selecting a piece from the Imperfect selection is more sustainable that buying a new one because it prolongs its lifespan and it allows to reduce the environmental impact of a piece up to 95%, byapassing the production phase.

ReCashmere is our exclusive Cashmere yarn, made of 35% virgin fibers and 65% regenerated fibers. ReCashmere pieces are made to order.
ReCashmere pieces are available only on order and are handcrafted, from the yarn spool to the final touches, in Italian artisan workshops.
ReCashmere pieces are made to order to minimize production waste, as Cashmere is a rare and precious resource, and to offer you a unique piece made specifically for you.
Made-to-order pieces are produced only after your order is placed, so they take about 15 days to be delivered. Select your style, color, usual size, and provide your details for a better fit, then proceed with the purchase.
ReCashmere pieces are delivered about 15 days after the order is placed, as they are handcrafted just for you. For more detailed information, please read our shipping policy.
Yes, in our Milan and Rome stores, a made to measure service is available. The personalization service is available both online and in our stores. Online, select the accessory you wish to personalize from this selection, and on its product page, you can choose the text and color for your custom embroidery.

No, unfortunately, it is not possible to return or exchange embroidered accessories.
The shipping time for a personalized accessory is one additional day compared to the standard shipping times. Express shipping is not available for these items.
The addition of custom embroidery costs €15, to be added to the price of the accessory.
