An iconic sculpture, created in 2000 by artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. The work depicts a giant sewing needle, more than nine meters long, that appears to be threaded through a huge steel sphere. It is a tribute to Milan's historic role as a center of fashion and design.
