Merino Wool Fabric
This merino wool fabric from Lanificio Zignone’s “E-motion” collection combines high performance and natural comfort via a special treatment that gives it high elasticity. This “Natural Stretch” treatment maintains the original breathability of the raw material, allowing the shoes to retain heat and disperse moisture, thus keeping your feet warm and dry.
Fratelli Barbera is a shoes manufacturer based in Biella, Italy founded in 1968. Today, as then, the philosophy of the company is to give quality to their customers without compromise, the result of craftsmanship handed down from father to son.Their experience enabled them to create a handmade shoes finding the perfect match between ancient traditions and new trends.
1. Wipe gently
Apply a damp cloth over your merino sneakers to dissolve any dirt or mud gripped to them, in necessary, carefully press and twist to lift the grime, then rub away remaining marks.
For stubborn stains, apply some mild detergent and brush gently using a soft brush (if you don’t have one, just use your old toothbrush). Wipe with a damp cloth. Rinse and repeat until the stain is gone
3. Dry fully
After your merino sneakers are all cleaned, sit them in a warm spot to air dry. For a quicker dry time insert some crumpled-up paper towels in the shoes to absorb part of the excess moisture.
4. Never, ever use a washing machine
Same goes for using a dryer. This can seriously damage the merino wool fabric and cause the stitching to come loose.
5. Re-stuff after each wear
In order to prevent the toe crease that forms in sneakers after a day of walking, re-stuff your them before putting them away. If you’ve long lost the original stuffing, scrunched-up newspapers are a great replacement.
