An invitation to slow down and appreciate artisanal work.
Black Friday promotes an unsustainable style of consumption that we do not support, which is why we have decided not to participate in the sales again this year. At a time when the world has the urge to buy something they may not really need, this year we invite you to slow down and appreciate the value of artisanal creations, behind which there are hours of work and passion that make them unique and special.

WHY SLOWING DOWN?

In 2020, Black Friday costed the planet 429k tons of CO2. The equivalent of 435 flights from London to New York.

Up to 80% of Black Friday purchases end up in landfills after just one or even zero uses.

During 2022 Black Friday week, 1.2 million tons of CO2 were released in the air by trucks transporting our packages around Europe. 600,000 tons more than an average week.

AT ARTKNIT, YOU WON'T FIND SALES
We don't participate in seasonal sales or Black Friday to avoid promoting impulsive purchases with a bad impact on the environment and people.
Our pieces are creations in natural materials with timeless designs, crafted to be worn for a long time.

VALUING CRAFTSMANSHIP
Our prices remain fair and transparent year-round to always ensure fair returns to the people behind our garments.
Production takes place in small and medium-sized craft workshops and follows human rhythms to enhance the creativity and uniqueness of our artisans.

APPRECIATING WHAT IS NOT PERFECT
By choosing a piece from the Imperfect selection, you can give a second life to pieces with minor manufacturing defects or pieces used in our photoshoots, that we repair and recondition to reduce waste and offer you our quality craftsmanship at a more affordable price.
To celebrate Slow Friday, we organized a special event in our Milan store: a live experience to appreciate the slow, human pace of creativity and craftsmanship.

PAST EVENT - SLOW FRIDAY
An event that took place on Friday, November 24th 2023 in our Milan store to discover up close the creative process of two young wool artisans.
