Tollegno 1900

Sustainability and innovation at the highest level

Since its birth in 1900, Tollegno is one of the most renowned wool makers in the world, with quality, innovation and sustainability as its cornerstones.

Tollegno aims to make Biella’s wool textile tradition the springboard to developing new paradigms to grow and innovate the wool industry as a whole, testing new solutions that can add value to our territory. Every step of the wool production is internalized: from the raw material, passing through the spinning, up to the weaving, is made inside the mill.

Preserving the natural habitat through actions that guarantee our community and animals’ wellbeing is one of their main commitments.

Continuous investments in machinery that reduce their environmental impact, together with a careful selection of their partners and the certifications they've taken over the years (such as Tessile e Salute, Oeko-Tex, RWS, Nativa® Precious Fiber) make Tollegno a real role model in the sustainability field.

To preserve natural resources, they also equipped the mill with a purification plant that reduces their water usage and photovoltaic solar panels to use renewable energy.
